Mailings

I believe some of you may be getting ahead of the game here. It is not unusual for 'overseas' mailings to take up to 8 weeks for delivery. That is why you are asked to mail as early as possible when sending overseas. Please understand that we were all delayed with the Just Nan Exchange due to unforeseen circumstances and be patient. I don't think we should ever wait less than six weeks and again, 8 weeks would not seem to me as very unusual. It is of course up to you when you decide to send 'replacement' exchanges, but I really believe it is too early at this point to think any of the Just Nan's are actually lost. We regret delays, but patience is the rule.

Just Nan Seems to be Lost

Edit's Just Nan that I mailed on June 29th seems to be lost out there somewhere.
I keep hoping it will arrive but as each day goes by it seems doubtful.

Introduction of a New Member

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself to the group. My name is Wendy Jo Brees and I live in Muscatine, Iowa. I have been stitching for over 20 years and enjoy stitching a variety of different designers. I love stitching on linen, primarily 28 to 32 ct but have recently been branching out into 36 ct and really am enjoying that as well.

Here is a link to my blog: http://wentostitch.blogspot.com/

I am looking forward to getting to know you and exchanging with you as well.

Hugs and happy stitching,

Wendy Jo

How Rude!

I am sooo sorry. I have been meaning to introduce myself and kept forgetting, so I apologise for my rudeness. Sorry ;-)
My name is Gaynor, and I live in the Republic of Ireland. I know some of you already from other groups and blogland, and I am looking forward to getting to know the rest of you and share stitching projects.

I have been a bit of a lurker and finally plucked up to courage to join when LHN was to be the theme. I have only just discovered LHN and sooo many other designers though blogging and I hope to get to try lots of new designs and finishing technics through this group.

Hello from a Newbie

My name is Maggee, and I am happy to be a part of your group. I have been stitching off and on since the late 1990's, tho much more seriously since 2006. And I just switched to linen last year, so have been experimenting with so many new fabrics! I recently finished a small piece on 40-count. It wasn't so bad...I LOVE overdyed fabrics and threads and also silks! I am married with 3 grown children (and 3.25 grandchildren--my middle daughter is pregnant)and I work full time, so my stitching time is very precious. Thanks for letting me join this group. I look forward to fun exchanging.

Hugs,

Maggee

Partner List mailed

I just sent out e-mails to participants in the In the Style of LHN Exchange. If you didn't get an e-mail and should have please don't hesitate to let me know. Your exchange should be mailed by August 13th. I hope everyone has a great time with this exchange.

I did see a wonderful note from Marie that says she is feeling better posted just before this one. I'm really happy to hear she is feeling better. But, just in case, let's leave me as the contact until we know that Marie is absolutely fully recovered...I'm sure by the time the next exchange is lined up she'll be back with us full time. Welcome back sweetling, glad you are feeling good again.

So who has received their JN exchange, pictures girls we want to see lots and lots of pictures (LOL).

If you have suggestions for our next exchange please put a comment in Marie's Post (click here)

I'm still here :-)

How are we all? I am improving, back to work soon I hope, and back to normal. But will post more about that on my blog.

I'm so glad to see we are growing! Don't forget to advertise us on your blogs lol, Yoyo did a great plug the other day. I added everyone's blog to my reading list cos I realised I hadn't seen some at all. I love seeing what everyone is up to and getting new finishing ideas.

Stitching wise I have been working on my LNH exchange and my JN is being posted Monday (I forgot to take it with me today).

It's also time I guess to be thinking of what we'd like for our next exchange.......................

In The Style of LHN Exchange

We have only one more day to sign up. We are standing at an odd number so if you've been thinking about it now is the time.

Exchange from YoYo

YoYo, thank you so much for my parcel - see the lovely things I got, including my first tape measure cover done in lovely purples and pinks along with some lilac fabric and some gorgeous threads.

I am stitching away like mad but have been thrown by migraines recently and I was late starting. I have a new physical therapist who is working me to death but it seems to be working, no headaches since Monday, fingers crossed!

LHN Exchange

As I have quite a few LHN charts am I ok to actually stitch one of these for the exchange rather than an "in the style" one...wanted to clarify this before I make a start...

Thanks

Just Nan From Kate

The mail lady brought me a package, always very exciting. It was from Kate It is beautifully stitched and finished and has my favorite lavender colors. It is my first Just Nan and I just love it. She also sent a pretty card, some lavender beads and some stick pins. I have never thought of using one for frogging. Thanks Kate, I am sure they will get a lot of use. lol. And thank you for stitching for me. I will treasure it always.

What mail?

I went out to the ballpark with DH for the first time in months this evening...and good thing I did too!stainedglass
AAARRRGGGHHH !!

I had given him my package to mail on Monday and guess who forgot the post office in his list of errands and left my package sitting on the backseat of his car. I am terribly sorry partner, but I will personally take it to the post office first thing in the morning. Mine is not going too far so it won't be too awful late, but I do apologize anyway. Here is an actual picture of it just so you won't get too over anxious. Of course, I do have some really nice 'photo manipulation' software (LOL).
